City Stars Kindergarten teaching staff love what they do and this shines through. Through play-based learning, City Stars Kindergarten Education Leader Lisa Gravestein is passionate about helping young students learn and grow.

Our aim is to support children and encourage them to develop dispositions to support their learning, such as emotional resilience, social confidence, self-motivation, persistence and resourcefulness which allows for independent choices and individual development. We value strong parent partnerships and pride ourselves on keeping parents informed about their child’s development. We use digital Learning Stories and Learning Statements so parents have real-time access to their child’s play, progress and development.

Throughout the year, City Star students will also build a close connection, with Junior School staff across CCPS becoming familiar with teachers and the school grounds as they move around the campus participating in different school activities, an important part in our preparations for Prep.
